Okay. Now it's done. Snipped out the nasty bit, connected the four wires, wrapped it all up and it's as right as rain. I played a little Vampire Savior, booted up a game that had windows live and it was responsive to the guide button. All seems well.

Troll Something

Draw Something from the Apple app store is basically pictonary + word scramble + words with friends. Fun on its own, but with the ability to connect to a random player, it's rather fun to draw something that does not really give a good clue at all and watch their reactions.

What time is it?

Time to fix that old clock I bought a while back. Cleaned up, rearranged the remaining, unbroken tines and put some new clock guts in there and it's good to go. I'm going to be honest, it's way bigger looking than I expected once it was up on the wall. It's certainly a bold statement.

Awesome $5 Clock

Look at this clock. It is awesome. It was five dollars. It's also broken as hell, but a little elbow grease and new clock innards and we'll be good to go. Also missing three of the 'rays' on it, but they're easily removed and rearranged, so I may remove one or more additional parts to get better radial symmetry. We have a surplus of wall space and I'm of the school of large, obnoxious wall decor over small, subtle wall decor.

Student Drawings

Over the years as a guitar and bass teacher, I've received several gift drawings from students. I'm not really sure how it started, but one child did one and when the one went up on my wall, more followed as students came in and saw that their work would be displayed pretty much without fail, up there with the others. So today, I'm going to share a few of my favorites.
